Devious Journal Entry
Wishlist TagGot tagged by TiaVonStep OneMake a post to your DA journal. The post should contain your list of ten holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a ______ icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("all I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV."). The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you. Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your DA or link to this post so that the holiday joy will spread.Step TwoSurf around your friends list (or friends' friends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now, here's the important part
Fav and runIt is a really interesting topic in my opinion and I would like to share my thoughts about it and also, hear from you, what do you think about it.What is it?Well it is when you see a - or a bunch of - really amazing deviations and you feel the urge to favourite it () but then you just go on. Not leaving any comments. Is it bad?For some, it can be a bit frustrating. Even for those who are doing it. Yes, it happens. You might want to know why someone liked your work. Would love some feedback on it. Humans are curious, that is only natural. For the collector it might be a bit uneasy, because they might want to leave a comment but afraid it wouldn't be meaningful because it is hard to transform your feelings and thoughts in some cases. They don't want to leave a "awesome photo" or "very cool", as it is a nice thing to write, don't get me wrong, but let's just be honest, it is not that constructive.Do I do it?Absolutely, I'

There we go againI left some groups which I was admin of today. It was long overdue. I have stated many times that dA is not enjoyable to me anymore. However, it was my second home if not my real home for years. I made friends here, some faded away, some are still strong. My photos improved a lot, I found my path. And for that I'm enormously greatful. So no, I'm not leaving. Still here and will be.However, I do not browse dA anymore. Not even checking my messages which is sad, but I just can't be bothered. Not because I don't care or that because I'm an arse - however, sometimes I think I am - but simply because I can't spend more than 10 minutes on the site.I'll still post my features, that is the only thing which is enjoyable to me, and posting them is not a big deal really. As long as there is a point to do them. And all the messages I receive on them, artists thanking me for including their gorgeous, captivating, and inspiring pieces in the feature. Also, viewers simply telling me that the

Collection: The Steampunk MenagerieShare|ArchiveThe Steampunk MenagerieThe magic of thousands of years of natural selection and other evolutionary factors has created in all living creatures pretty much the optimal version of each for where each fits in the world. But never tell a human being, especially a steampunk, that there’s no need to fix what isn’t broken. Here’s a collection of interesting imaginings of mechanical steampunk replacements for the somewhat mundane denizens of the actual natural world. For some people, especially some artists, until there’s been an upgrade or enhancement to anything, there just isn’t any “there” there.
