Not So Traditional Tuesdays #3I'm staying with my plan to will keep the features fresh for me(and you) and maybe open a few eyes to all the different kinds of artwork that is available while browsing the deviantArt galleries. The things that make one piece of art great applies, for the most part, to other genres. A painter can learn how light and shadow fall from photography, photo-manipulators can learn about composition from a great Manga drawing, and literature can give you the inspiration to try something new or take your work to the next step. You may never try all art forms you see! You can however take what you learn from them and incorporate that into your own work. It could be the difference between stagnating and that breakthrough every artist wants to find!
It's not late this time!
Mainly because I wasn't asleep!
**WARNING:Viewing these works of art may cause giddiness, elevated heart rates, and happiness in the pants(which could lead to blindness)! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!**

People and Portraits Exposed #8
Infants & Children...
Darkroom Exposed: Digital OverlaysDarkroom Exposed is a series of articles highlighting talented deviants, noteworthy art and helpful information all about the Photography > Darkroom gallery on dA.
This issue features digital overlays, which are created by layering two or more images (including but not limited to texture and colour layers) to create a final image, mimicking the effect of exposing photographic paper to two or more negatives and/or filters during printing. This differs from photomanipulations, where elements of numerous images are separately extracted and combined to make a final image.

People and Portraits Exposed #7
Infants & Children...
Photomanip Phenoms Vol. 01Outstanding photomanips. Outstanding artists.
Exposed, but not overexposed.
I hope I am introducing some of you to new artists to watch and love.
And if you've loved them before, here's your chance to love them again!
These artists were carefully chosen because their work displays not only technical prowess and knowledge of the medium, but also a great deal of creativity. They are always imitated but never duplicated. They make me want to reach inside myself and be a better artist-- learn more, be more patient, try and try again. I hope you will also get inspiration from these pieces.

Creeping Wednesday #6
It's the witch's hour in the 6th Creeping Wednesday! Warts, papillas, crooked noses, humpbacks, broomsticks and kettles and cauldrons. I'm glad that I could find plenty of sculptures for this feature! No suggesters this time, unfortunately. For the next article, I'm looking for frames and borders... but with a picture inside - and traditional. I'm sure you know plenty of such, don't hesitate to mention them!
3 questions to :iconboggleboy:, a great sculptor of magic characters!
What is that attracts you to Traditional Art?
Well, you have to understand that I am of an age that there was no such distinction originally in the art world, fine art or commercial art, at least not in the sense of that phrase these days... If any one used the term "traditional art" before the advent of the various digital aided mediums, they m
Not So Traditional Tuesdays #2After a little debate with myself (I won! ), I've decide to change up the features that I generally put out every week. So, for a while at least, I plan on featuring Traditional and Non-Traditional work on alternating Tuesdays. This will keep it fresh for me and maybe open a few eyes to all the different kinds of artwork that is available while browsing the deviantArt galleries. This is a day late due to technical difficulties, like me f
Traditional Tuesdays #38Howdy peeps? Welcome to edition 38 of Traditional Tuesdays . This week, like all of the other weeks, I'll be featuring fifteen works of art from the Traditional Gallery. Any more than that might and you might loss interest or it could cause your monitor to fail in an explosion of awesomeness. I would feel guilty if that were to happen, so I'm keeping it at fifteen! The Traditional gallery is a vast storeroom of work that covers many mediums and genres. I've tried to show a good mix of artwork, but I don't have room for them all. So sit back, relax, and enjoy the show!

She decided a young woman like her had no business being imperfect. Impurities had to be expelled from her life, no matter the cost. A universal remover promised to be her savior. It lived up to its commercials, doing away with the stains that disgraced her floor and some of the walls.
Would domestic hygiene free her from being flawed? Doubtful. This product guaranteed to exterminate any kind of filth. Could it go beyond the material things? She rubbed the substance on her forehead, and conjured as many negative thoughts as possible. They were recalled, only to vanish from memory a second after.
Satisfied? Not quite. Even the good recollect
