How to: Make thumbs big in features?I get this asked a lot!
Back when they introduced sta.sh, I didn't really use it. Because it seemed hard to get used to. I always wrote my articles in the old way.
Then I toyed with it a little and noticed that is is something really awesome!
Not to mention that the only way to make articles and journals is through Sta.sh Writer.
So I assume not so many if you know that there is a way to make thumbs big!
That is actually pretty easy. All you have to do is add big in front of a thumb code!
For example:

This is the "regular" size

: bigthumb159252268 :
This is the big size
Of course: without the spaces between the colon ( : )

So I noticed that when I try to explain certain things about chatrooms for helpees, they have no idea where is the title, topic area of the chatroom or if that even exists. I'd like to help with that.
I made a screenshot of my chatroom, cropped out certain areas and marked them with words

I'll write down some things about those areas and I'll try to include some tips as well.
So here we go.

a - Chatroom tab
This is a very useful thing. Why? Because instead of one million browser windows, you can have one window open and have as many connections to dAmn chatroom as you want. You can close one as well but without leaving the other rooms as well.

So let's get started - Step 1

FAQ #289: How do I create or delete a chatroom?
FAQ #287: What rules apply to the Chat Network?

The FAQs are quite easy to understand and follow, but sometimes we need a little extra to understand them.

This is the first step to take. Go to the +chat page. On the right, you should see the following buttons:

Chat Now! with the fella what drives you to #devart, the official channel of deviantART.

Create a Chatroom and this is what we need!

I'd recommend you to install the plugins what is needed for being on the chatz!
You can find a link to the plugin, below the Create Chatroom button on the +chat page!

Step 2

If you click on it, a new page should appear what looks like this:

You can add a name here, what will be the name of your chatroom. But please remember:

In order to prevent any misunderstandings or misrepresentations on the network, please do not create chatrooms with "Staff" or "Admin" in chatroom name!

Others things what are good to know:
You can't use:
your own username

or others's usernames

Group names as chatroom name!

It's better to check if there is already a room with the name you'd like to use!

And you can add a description to inform others what your chatroom is about.

Step 3

After you hit the Create Chatroom button, it should drive you to your freshly created chatroom

And you're done! You have your own chatroom!

well, I mean do you have to have a chatroom to chat, or can you just join a chatroom without making one?

You can join a chatroom if you'd like to chat. If you'd like to have private conversations, then I'd recommend you creating a chatroom for that where you can set who can enter and who can't.
