Typo Feature: AmbigramsWelcome to today's Typo Feature!
In this ongoing series each article will focus on a specific theme and showcase deviations that manage to convey the theme in a special and great manner.
This feature's theme will be ambigrams.
Ambigrams are a subform of Caligraphy, usually keeping up the style of being drawn by brush or pen, but often with stricter, more geometric forms.
The most famous kind of Ambigrams are those, in which when rotated 180° you will see the same image. Another popular form are Mirror-Image Ambigrams, which result in the same artwork when flipped horizontally or vertically.
Some artists manage to place two words in one Ambigram. By rotating or flipping the artwork, a new word can be read.
There are many forms of ambigrams, some easier to create than others. Words can be natural rotational ("suns" or "pod") or mirror-image ("bud") ambigrams.

Journals are like Ogres
They both have layers! And they both can make you cry. The deviantART journals have two different structures. The original 'Old School' layout where everything is named .journalbox, etc. And my preference, the newer gruze structure. I prefer the gruze expressly because it is chockful of layers. Painted Portrait Interview with SchweizerArtsWelcome to Painted Portrait, a new Interview series focusing on traditional artists worth keeping an eye on. Painted Portrait interviews aim to give the community more insight into talented traditional artists and how they came to be successful with their art. Today we are interviewing ~SchweizerArts.
Thank you for allowing me to interview you, let's start off by having you introduce yourself.
-My name is Wolfgang Schweizer. Born 1966, grown up in southwest Germany, moved to the USA in 2007.
I am a painter (mostly acrylics and mixed media, epoxy), metalsmith (mostly copper, brass, silver, steel and natural gemstones) and composer (programs: Ableton Live and sometimes Fl Studio)

What inspires your paintings?
As I paint mainly abstract, I develop most of the paintings according to my own subjective rules of proportion and color.
